The Israeli army is preparing for an operation against the vessels of the Global Sumud Fleet to prevent the blockade from breaking through and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. This was reported on October 1 by the Anadolu Ajansi news agency.

According to reports, the Sumud fleet is located approximately 150 nautical miles from Gaza, and about 50 vessels are approaching the "intervention zone."

"The Israeli navy is preparing to intervene in the actions of the Sumud fleet and seize ships," the publication says.

A warship will be sent to the area of operation to detain flotilla activists and then deliver them to the port of Ashdod in southern Israel. According to the plans, some of the ships of the Sumud flotilla will be towed to Ashdod, while others may be sunk.

On September 18, Russian Ambassador to Egypt Georgy Borisenko told Izvestia that Israel had been blocking Russian humanitarian aid supplies to the Gaza Strip through Egypt for several months. The diplomat noted that the goods are in storage, and some of the perishable products have already gone bad.

On September 24, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated the complete destruction of medical infrastructure in Gaza, where about 150 children have already died of starvation. The Turkish leader said there could be no reasonable justification for such brutality in 2025. According to him, such a "shameful picture" has persisted in Gaza for 23 months.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
