US President Donald Trump linked the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine with the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan. He said this on September 30 at a meeting with reporters at the White House.

"We had a terrible show in Afghanistan, and I think that's why [Russian President Vladimir] Putin Putin went in there. He saw this terrible show put on by [former American leader Joe] Biden and his team of incompetent people," Trump said.

The Head of State stressed that the actions of the Biden administration had undermined the credibility of the United States in the international arena and contributed to further destabilization in the world.

Earlier in the day, Trump announced a possible government shutdown, or shutdown, which could be used to abandon a number of "democratic things." He noted that such measures would make it possible to review unnecessary programs and structures, as well as reduce costs and bureaucracy. According to him, this will allow the government to focus on priority tasks and enhance the efficiency of federal agencies.
