The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has recognized as an error the warning issued by the referee on the Adel Nur tower to Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals of the tournament in Beijing against American Lerner Tin. This became known on September 30th.

"After reviewing the incident during Daniil Medvedev's semifinal match in Beijing, the ATP Refereeing committee determined that the violation of the code was recorded incorrectly. After the match, Medvedev and his team were notified of this, and no fine will be imposed," Sport-Express quoted sources as saying.

Earlier, on August 27, Medvedev was fined $42.5 thousand for his behavior in the first round match of the US Open. It is noted that the tournament judge fined the Russian athlete $ 30,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct and another $12.5 thousand for damaging the racket.

On August 24, Medvedev lost to French athlete Benjamin Bonzi in the first round of the U.S. Open Tennis Championship. The match lasted three hours and 46 minutes and ended with a score. 6:3, 7:5, 6:7 (5:7), 0:6, 6:4.

During the third set, Bonzi made an unsuccessful first serve, and a photojournalist appeared on the court, deciding that the match was over. Referee Greg Allensworth gave the French athlete the opportunity to interrupt the serve, which displeased Medvedev. The stands supported the Russian. Later, a photojournalist who entered the court during the US Open match was stripped of his accreditation.
