Israel has announced the involvement of a member of the Sumud flotilla in the activities of Hezbollah

One of the participants of the Global Sumoud Flotilla (GSF) may be involved in the activities of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah. This was announced on September 30 by the Israeli Foreign Ministry in the Telegram channel.

Attached to the published statement is a photograph in which one of the participants of the Tiago Avila flotilla is allegedly at a farewell ceremony with Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah, who was killed on September 27, 2024 as a result of a bombing in Beirut.

"The flotilla organizer <...> Tiago Avila is a fan of Hezbollah," the publication says.

Earlier this day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed a representative of the Shiite Hezbollah movement, Mohammad Abbas Shashua, who was responsible for artillery in the Sohmor area in southern Lebanon.

On September 10, it was reported that the main ship of the Global Sumuda Flotilla, led by Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg, sailing to the shores of the Gaza Strip, was attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It is specified that this attack, which became the second in a few days, was recorded off the coast of the city of Sidi Bou Said in Tunisia.
