People's Artist of Russia Rimma Belyakova has passed away

People's Artist of Russia Rimma Belyakova died at the age of 89. The death of the actress was announced on September 30 by the press service of the government of the Saratov region.

Roman Busargin, the Governor of the region, noted her great contribution to culture and teaching.

"Rimma Ivanovna, being a teacher with a capital letter, has raised more than one generation of artists, passing on her knowledge, experience and acting skills to young people," the press service of the head of the region reported on the Telegram channel.

Belyakova graduated from the Moscow Art Theater Studio School, served the Saratov Academic Drama Theater for more than half a century and staged over 30 graduation performances as a teacher. In 2007, she was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation, and earlier — the Order of Honor and the Golden Mask Award.
