Two Kamchatka-Chukchi gyrfalcons were donated to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. These rare predators were specially bred in the nursery of the Kamchatka Falconry Center. This was announced on September 30 by the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.

"This gift reflects deep respect and commitment to the development of cultural and environmental cooperation between Russia and Bahrain. It is especially symbolic that this landmark event takes place in the year of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Kingdom of Bahrain," said Ivan Kushch, Director of the Department of International Cooperation in the Field of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection at the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation. His words are quoted by the Telegram channel of the department.

It is noted that the gyrfalcon is listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and is a vulnerable species.

On July 31, Laos President Thonglong Sisoulit announced that he would like to present two elephants to Russia as a gift in honor of the anniversary of diplomatic relations. Sisoulit noted that elephants are not only a symbol of Laos, but also a symbol of peace and prosperity.
