The Minnesota Wild Hockey Club has announced the signing of a record contract in the history of the National Hockey League (NHL) with Russian striker Kirill Kaprizov. Information about this was published on the official website of the team on September 30.
"The National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed Kirill Kaprizov to an eight—year contract worth $136 million," the statement said.
It is noted that the annual salary of the Russian athlete will be $17 million, and the contract will be valid until the end of the 2033/2034 season.
Kaprizov has been playing for Minnesota since 2020. In the 2024/25 season, he scored 56 (25+31) points in 41 regular season matches, and 9 (5+4) points in 6 playoff games, Sport-Express adds.
