"An independent and responsible policy of our countries is an important factor in ensuring global security and stability," Venediktov said.

From September 12 to September 16, 2025, the Indian military took part in the Zapad-2025 exercises at training grounds in Belarus and Russia.

"We know that this led to concern in Western capitals, and New Delhi was tried to dissuade from participating," Venediktov said.

He stressed that Moscow and New Delhi have similar or similar positions on key global and regional issues. Russia also welcomes the normalization of relations between India and China.
