The statement from Ukraine that the number of Russian-speaking citizens in the country is increasing again is reminiscent of the conclusion of a person suffering from a psychiatric disorder. This was announced on September 30 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

The diplomat noted that the corresponding recognition came from the mouth of the Commissioner for the Protection of the state language in Ukraine, Elena Ivanovskaya.

"Bipolar news. How do they keep count, I wonder? Do they install cameras in bathrooms and listen to what language people sing in the shower? Running around the streets with a mielophone and reading the minds of passersby? Lie detectors are being installed at the cash registers with the question "cat or whale?", Zakharova sneered in her Telegram channel.

Prior to that, on September 20, Zakharova commented on the conflict over the use of the Russian language by passengers on a train heading to Lviv. She compared it to the situation as if the door to the bedroom was closed, and from the window they heard the question: "Will you speak Russian or European in Muscovite or European?"

On September 15, Ivanovskaya acknowledged that Kiev remains a Russian-speaking city. In an interview with Glavkom, she commented on the journalist's words that the capital was Russified, calling it "a serious problem, including a philosophical one."
