A resident of Odintsovo will be tried for the death of a child from electric shock

A criminal case on the death of a nine-year-old girl has been submitted to the court in Odintsovo (Moscow region). Charges have been brought against the owner of the rental house.

According to investigators, the man rented a house with a swimming pool in the village of Chastsy from April 16 to May 7. It was found that the requirements for the operation of electrical equipment were violated in the pool area. In particular, there was no dehumidifier, writes the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya.

As a result of an electric power leak, a nine-year-old girl was electrocuted. She died on the spot. A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers"). The case materials with the approved indictment have been sent to the court.

In Buryatia, a woman was electrocuted by touching a kiosk in the private sector. It was established that violations were committed during the installation and connection of the structure.
