Russia intends to strengthen the presence of Russian products in the markets of Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. This was stated to Izvestia by Ruslan Alisultanov, head of the Export Committee of the National Union of Milk Producers (Soyuzmoloko), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Health & Nutrition.

"I see the task of the export committee as building closer cooperation with government agencies, public organizations and exporters in order to strengthen the presence of Russian products in the markets of Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, remove regulatory barriers between partner countries, and increase the share of dairy products in Russian exports," he said.

According to him, Russia has a huge export potential, and the dairy industry has a special role here.

"More than 30 countries in the world have already been able to evaluate the quality of Russian products and get to know our brands. I am sure that this is the beginning of a big trend," says Alisultanov.

He recalled that the task of export development remains one of the key goals of the agroindustrial complex within the framework of the Food Security Doctrine. The dairy industry is consistently building up the Russian export product portfolio and expanding the geography of supplies, including through consolidation within the working groups of the industry union.

Thus, in 2024, the volume of export shipments of dairy products, according to the Agroexport center, increased by 18% in monetary terms, from the beginning of 2025 to the middle of August – by 16%. At the same time, the supply of some product categories has increased significantly.

"The development of dairy exports remains one of the most important strategic directions in the broader context of the development of the dairy industry. For this, it is very important to work out proposals to improve the system of state support for exports, promote dairy products on foreign markets, reduce trade barriers, and coordinate efforts to support exports with the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and development institutions. It is precisely these tasks that the newly formed Export Committee in the Soyuzmoloko structure will be engaged in," Artyom Belov, Director General of Soyuzmoloka, told Izvestia.

In June, Alisultanov attended the SPIEF session "Made in Russia. The Russian Export Code in the Global Economy" stated that Russian companies should export not just goods, but "meanings, lifestyle, trust and care" to form a recognizable image of domestic products.
