Footage has emerged of the detention of former acting Vice Governor of Kuban Vlasov

On September 30, Izvestia obtained a video of the detention of Alexander Vlasov, the acting deputy governor of the Krasnodar Territory, who had resigned.

The footage shows how security forces handcuff Vlasov and then lead him into a car.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that, previously, the former official was suspected of embezzling a particularly large amount of funds from a targeted subsidy for participants in a special military operation.

The former vice-governor of the Sverdlovsk Region faces up to 10 years in prison for fraud with utility bills.

The day before, Vlasov was relieved of his post, which he had held since 2020. According to him, he made the decision to resign because he decided to join the Kuban brigade to perform combat missions in a special military operation. On the evening of the same day, his office was searched.
