On September 30, the Governor of the Volgograd Region, Andrei Bocharov, announced that the air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation had repelled a massive attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the region.

"As a result of the fall of UAV debris on the border of Volgograd, two large fires of dry vegetation were recorded, which were promptly eliminated by fire fighting forces," he is quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the regional administration.

Bocharov added that the electricity supply to three settlements in the Svetloyarsky district has been disrupted, and repair crews are working on the line. According to preliminary information, there is no damage to buildings or casualties.

Earlier, on September 27, the governor reported that two non-stationary shopping facilities were damaged in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd as a result of falling UAV debris. There were no casualties.
