The IDF announced the killing of Hezbollah representative Mohammad Abbas Shashua in Lebanon.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed a representative of the Shiite Hezbollah movement, Mohammad Abbas Shashua, who was responsible for artillery in the Sohmor area in southern Lebanon. This was reported on September 30 in the Telegram channel of the IDF.

"Throughout the war, the <representative of the movement> launched numerous rocket attacks on Kiryat Shmona and the Golan Heights," the publication says.

Also, according to the IDF, Shashua participated in battles against Israeli soldiers.

The ministry added that a day earlier, as a result of the operation, a high-ranking member of the Hezbollah artillery unit in the Shakif area, Muhammad Hussein Yasin, was eliminated.

It is specified that he was also involved in arms smuggling south of the Litani River.

Earlier, on September 17, two Hezbollah commanders Hussein Seif Sharif and Kamal Raad Sharif were killed in an explosion of an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the city of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon.

On September 16, 12 casualties were reported as a result of a series of strikes carried out by the Israeli Air Force on the city of Nabatiya in southern Lebanon.
