The Muslim football league UMMA LEAGUE was created in Moscow.
The Muslim football league UMMA LEAGUE was created in Moscow to unite the disparate Muslim tournaments of the religious centers of the capital. This was announced on September 29 by the head of the league Rinat Kayumov.
At the moment, the official registration of the organization, which includes 14 teams of amateur players, has begun. It is noted that representatives of other faiths can participate in the league, which is an example of the multinational and multi-confessional nature of Russia.
"It is important that all participants comply with the rules of the league, for example, according to the dress code, when it is forbidden to show aurat [body parts forbidden to show to other people]. Checkmate is also prohibited – for this, the player receives a warning or disqualification for several games," the RIA Novosti news agency quoted Kayumov as saying.
