Poland has begun selling decommissioned Soviet Su-22 fighter-bombers. This was reported by Defence24 on September 29.

"Polish Su-22M4 fighter-bombers and Su-22UM3K combat training aircraft have completed their service. There are still 12 Su-22M4 and 6 Su-22UM3K in flight condition. What will happen to them officially is still unknown," the newspaper notes.

It is specified that seven aircraft with tactical numbers, including 8102, 8310 and 9615, have been put up for sale through the Military Property Agency. Some of the other machines were handed over to aviation societies and the university, and the fate of four more remains unclear.

Earlier, on September 12, Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen announced that the country was planning a record military purchase — the purchase of European-made air defense systems worth $9.1 billion. He noted that "there is no doubt that the security situation is under threat."
