Guards Corporal Fomin evacuated a wounded comrade after being hit by MLRS HIMARS
Lance Corporal Roman Fomin, who performed tasks as part of the guard group, assisted a wounded comrade who was injured as a result of the impact of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Russia in the area of a special military operation on Tuesday, September 30.
It is specified that in the area of one of the settlements, the enemy struck the launch position of a Russian self-propelled firing system from the HIMARS MLRS, as a result of which a soldier from the anti-aircraft missile squad was seriously injured. After the attack, Fomin, who was at the air surveillance post, came to his aid. On the spot, he provided first aid to the victim, after which he evacuated him and took him to the hospital.
At the same time, on the way to the guards, the corporal also continued to monitor the wounded man's health, changed bandages and applied painkillers. After delivery to the medical facility, doctors promptly operated on the Russian fighter, which saved his life.
The Defense Ministry also said that Junior Lieutenant Maxim Zamorin, who holds the position of commander of a motorized rifle company, was tasked with defending the stronghold. Reflecting the counterattack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the detachment under his leadership destroyed up to 20 enemy personnel, which allowed the Russian fighters to gain a foothold in the position.
On September 29, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a boat with Ukrainian troops, and three more were blown up in parking lots during an attempt by Ukrainian militants to cross the left bank of the Dnieper River. It is specified that one vessel was destroyed using an FPV drone, and the other three were blown up while parked with high-explosive fragmentation ammunition.
