Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the soldiers of the 144th Guards Motorized Rifle Division on the liberation of the village of Shandrigolovo in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on September 29 by the press service of the department.

"Since the first days of the special military operation, the division's military personnel have been exemplary in performing military duty in the most responsible areas, confirming the glorious legacy and traditions of the front-line soldiers who liberated their native land with their feats of arms," Belousov quotes the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense.

The Minister noted that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are steadily moving forward and thanked the division's soldiers for their loyalty to the oath and the fatherland.

The release of Shandrigolovo in the DPR became known on the same day. According to the ministry, in this area, the Russian Army attacked units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), including three mechanized and assault brigades and a territorial defense brigade in the areas of Kolodezny, Boldyrevka, Petrovka and Staroverevka in the Kharkiv region.
