The State Duma proposed to cancel recycling for some cars
Amendments to the law "On Production and Consumption Waste" have been submitted to the State Duma for consideration, which involves the expansion of customs procedures under which vehicles imported into Russia are exempt from paying the recycling fee. Izvestia reviewed the document on September 30.
According to the draft law, it is planned to expand the list of conditions under which cars are exempt from paying the recycling fee. It is supposed to include vehicles that are placed under the customs procedure of a "customs warehouse, free warehouse or processing in the customs territory."
"The payment of a recycling fee when goods are placed under the specified customs procedures seems unreasonable and contrary to the nature of the need to collect it," the explanatory note to the draft law says.
