During the parliamentary elections in Moldova, there was a large-scale vote fraud. This was announced on September 29 by Pavel Verezhanu, a representative of the Pobeda opposition bloc.

"Moldova is now the testing ground where electoral fraud is taking place on a large scale," said a representative of the Victory bloc.

According to him, early statistics show that up to 3% of the votes could have been falsified. However, today's results show that it is possible to rig from 20% to 30% of the votes.

Verezhanu also recalled the onslaught of the authorities towards the Victory bloc over the past six months and stressed that many were afraid to come to the vote because they were intimidated by law enforcement agencies.

"At polling stations in the European Union, the absence of people was not compared with the number of voters who voted. We also saw how Transnistria was blocked," he added.

He noted that these actions were carried out to falsify the election results.

According to the Moldovan Central Election Commission, taking into account the votes of voters abroad, PAS scored 50.2%, and opposition political forces — 49.8%.

Earlier in the day, former President of the Republic, leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon said that Western countries had used all levers to help the current government in the parliamentary elections in Moldova. He also accused European leaders of direct interference in the elections.

In turn, the leader of the Victory bloc, Ilan Shor, said that Moldova's opposition parties would appeal to international organizations to appeal the results of the parliamentary elections in the country.

According to the head of the Central Election Commission of Moldova, Angela Karaman, 236 violations were recorded during the last elections in the republic. They are related to damage to ballots, prohibited campaigning, removal of ballots from the territory of the polling station, suspicion of electoral corruption, violation of voting rights and interference with the activities of the electoral body.

Parliamentary elections began in Moldova on September 28. Polling stations in the territory of the state were open from 07:00 to 21:00. Thus, 301 polling stations operated outside the state in order to give citizens abroad the opportunity to vote.
