Doctors at the Yegoryevskaya Hospital in the Moscow region successfully extracted a 10-centimeter bulb from the rectum of a 48-year-old man who complained of severe pain and cramps. This was announced on September 29 by the Ministry of Health of the Moscow region.

"A 10-centimeter bulb was removed from the rectum of a 48-year-old man by doctors at the Yegoryevskaya Hospital," the department's channel says in the MAX messenger.

At the same time, the patient did not tell how the foreign object ended up in his body. As a result, the man was urgently transferred to the operating room, where surgeons extracted the object under general anesthesia.

According to doctors, if the patient had not gone to the doctors, then he could have had an infection and ruptured the intestinal wall.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on September 29 that the Sklifosovsky Scientific Research Institute of Emergency Medicine had performed a unique operation for the first time to transplant a fragment of a hand from a donor. According to him, after medical intervention, the patient was transferred to the intensive care unit, from where he will be sent to the kidney and pancreas transplant unit.
