UAZ has prepared a Patriot with a new transmission for certification
Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has released a batch of gasoline Patriots and Pickups with a new six-speed manual transmission, which will be sent for certification tests. This was reported to Izvestia on September 29 by the UAZ press service.
"The first batch of pre-production vehicles is being tested by a partner for all systems, including active safety. Cars from the second pilot batch will undergo a cycle of factory tests before receiving a certificate of conformity," the press service of the automobile plant said.

The new transmission has a high safety margin (up to 320 Nm of torque) and short lever strokes. It is stated that driving becomes more comfortable with it, and fuel consumption decreases.
In early September, UAZ began completing the test cycle of the upgraded 150-horsepower ZMZ Pro gasoline engine with a volume of 2.7 liters. The main difference between this engine is the increased number of attachment points around the perimeter of the valve cover and in the spaces between the holes of the candle wells to increase its tightness, the automobile plant noted. The upgraded powertrain will appear in UAZ cars — "Patriot", "Pickup", "Pro" and "Hunter".
Earlier, on September 3, it became known that UAZ Patriot, Pickup and Profi cars received a new Russian anti-lock braking system. The active safety device was developed by US Innovative Components and put into mass production.
