Over 350 heads and activists of school museums of the Central Federal District were united by the Victory Museum Forum

On September 28, the Open Forum of School Museums of the Central Federal District, which was held by the Victory Museum and the Government of the Tula Region, ended in Tula. More than 350 schoolchildren and teachers from 18 regions of Central Russia, leaders of the All-Russian historical and Educational program "School Victory Museum", took part in the event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

For three days, museum activists, under the guidance of experienced mentors, developed projects for military historical exhibitions. At the final ceremony of the forum, the authors of the best exhibitions were awarded. By the decision of the expert jury, the first place was taken by the project of the exhibition "Hero and great—grandson - the link of generations", prepared by schoolchildren from the Moscow, Belgorod, Kursk, Tver regions.

"I want to thank you guys for showing maximum creativity, solidarity, and friendliness these days. Now you will arrive and you will understand that there are many more like-minded people, those who share the same faith with you, than you thought before coming to Tula. I want to assure you that there are many more of us all over the country, tens of thousands of your peers who also preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War and the history of their region. And I want to assure you that the Victory Museum will continue to support you, know that we are always there," said Alexander Shkolnik, Director General of the Victory Museum, Deputy Secretary of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.

At the ceremony, Yaroslav Rakov, Deputy Governor of the Tula Region, thanked Alexander Shkolnik, General Director of the Victory Museum, for the initiative to hold the forum on Tula soil.

"I am sure that each of you, returning to your home, will share new ideas in the development of school museums. You are true patriots of Russia, you preserve and explore history, protect what our ancestors won in battles. I hope you enjoyed your stay with us, and each of you will take with you a piece of Tula hospitality," said Yaroslav Rakov, Deputy Governor of the Tula region.

The forum program also included an educational block in the field of museum business, acquaintance with the projects and programs of the Victory Museum, presentations of the best historical and educational projects of Russian school museums, a creative meeting with the team of the Voenfilm film studio and the screening of the film Podolsk Cadets, guided tours of the museums of the Tula region.
