PSB evaluates investment strategies of women
The shares of men and women in the investment industry and independent trading on the stock exchange are determined by the difference in their investment behavior. At the same time, their average bill is almost equal: for women it is 600 thousand rubles, and for men it is 700 thousand rubles. Such observations were shared by Deputy Chairman of the PSB Yulia Karpova, speaking at the business breakfast of the International Banking Forum in Sochi.
According to Karpova, women choose more conservative instruments, a long-term strategy and diversify investments more often. In addition, female investors are more resistant to stressful market situations, take a more thoughtful approach to forming an investment strategy and change it significantly less often than men.
The share of women among the clients of the investment division of PSB Blagosostoyanie is 28%, Yulia Karpova noted. "But at the same time, the distribution by strategy is uneven: the share of women who independently invest in stock market instruments is only 7%, while 36% of women prefer to invest through a professional manager," said the deputy chairman of the PSB.
As interest in the stock market grows, investment literacy is gradually developing among the population. At the same time, it makes sense for investors who want to constantly develop stock market trading skills to actively participate in various training programs, Yulia Karpova believes.
PSB implements its own training programs on an ongoing basis, said the deputy chairman of the bank. "Thus, we have created a unified information environment where any participant can get acquainted with the basic principles of working in financial markets, learn how to make informed investment decisions, and also receive the necessary support when working with modern financial and investment instruments," concluded Karpova.
