Putin welcomes participants of the International Olympiad on Financial Security
On September 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed the participants of the International Financial Security Olympiad in a video message.
Putin noted that the current Olympiad in Krasnoyarsk, on the site of the Siberian Federal University, brought together about six hundred schoolchildren and students from the CIS, BRICS, SCO and many other countries.
"I am sure that the current Olympiad program — contests, round tables and master classes - will help to contribute to solving these tasks. And meetings with reputable professionals will be a bright and memorable event for all participants," the Russian leader added.
According to him, the focus of the participants is on countering modern challenges and threats, using advanced technologies to prevent crimes in the financial sector, and to increase information and legal literacy among citizens.
On August 4, Putin said that Russian schoolchildren, who won two gold and two silver medals at the 37th International Olympiad in Computer Science in Bolivia, adequately represented the domestic school of IT education. The President noted that the Russians had demonstrated perseverance in the fight against strong rivals, and made everyone worry about themselves.
