Since the beginning of the special military operation (SVO), the Russian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and its fans have handed over 182 tons of humanitarian aid to the military. This was announced on September 29 by the portal mos.ru .

It is specified that for three years the artists performed in hospitals for wounded servicemen and invited the participants of their military and their families to their concerts. The orchestra organized humanitarian aid collections, sending water, medicines, clothes and other necessary items to the special operation zone, including a robot backpack for working in dangerous conditions.

"We have been collecting and continue to collect first aid bags. The most important thing in them are tourniquet harnesses. One day we wrote on social media that we were going to the hospital soon and were ready to accept any help. Then one of the elderly spectators brought 10 tourniquet harnesses, and the inscription "Live, son" was hand–embroidered on each of them," said Gayane Shilajyan, the orchestra's leader.

The volunteers regularly procured and packaged humanitarian supplies for the fighters, including underwear, hygiene products, and sweets. On the eve of the New Year in 2024, six thousand children's kits were transferred to the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics (LNR and DNR). The band performed in hospitals in Moscow and the region, singing familiar Soviet songs.

At the concerts, the artists brought gifts for the wounded, including visits to the disabled soldiers in the wards. The orchestra has held more than 50 charity concerts and allocated over 3,000 free tickets for military personnel and their families. Medical workers and soldiers noted that performances improve the mood of the wounded, and thanks to the artists come in letters and through doctors.

mos.ru On September 22, he reported that Lyudmila, a participant in the interregional Moscow fairs from the Altai Territory, was handing honey from her own apiary to Russian servicemen. It was noted that each batch of honey is unique due to the variety of honey plants.
