Deputies of the State Duma from the Liberal Democratic Party will submit to the House of Parliament a bill on the exemption of the recycling fee for vehicles that are imported into the country and stored in customs and free warehouses for processing or storage. This became known on September 29.

"The draft law proposes to supplement the list of grounds for non—collection of a recycling fee in respect of vehicles, situations of placing them under the customs procedure of a customs warehouse, a free warehouse or processing in the customs territory," RIA Novosti quotes from an explanatory note.

It is specified that the legislation provides for a number of preferential customs procedures, however, they are not specified in the list of cases when the disposal fee does not need to be paid. Thus, many goods for export and re-export need to be disposed of in Russia.

According to the parliamentarians, the adoption of this initiative will eliminate the legal contradiction and restore the initial economic feasibility of using preferential customs procedures.

The head of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, Sergei Leonov (LDPR), announced on September 28 that timely cancellation of driver's licenses will be carried out in the Russian Federation if their holders are found to have dangerous diseases. It was specified that the law will enter into force on March 1, 2027.
