Four people were killed in a shooting at a church in the city of Grand Blanc in the U.S. state of Michigan. CNN reported this on September 28, citing the city's police chief, William Rainier.
"Four people were killed in a Sunday morning attack on the chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter—day Saints (Mormons)," the channel said in a statement.
According to Rainier, who was quoted in the text at a press conference on the incident, it was initially known that two people died from gunshot wounds. However, later, as specified, this number increased to four — the charred bodies of two more people were found, burned by the attacker.
On September 28, the Fox 2 Detroit television station reported a shooting at a church, where a fire was later recorded, as a result of which the roof of the building collapsed. On the same day, US President Donald Trump called this tragedy a targeted attack on Christians living in the United States.
