- The president of Bolivia called the cancellation of the US visa to the President of Colombia intimidation
On September 28, Bolivian President Luis Arce called the cancellation of the American visa to Colombian President Gustavo Petro political pressure and an attempt to intimidate the United States.
"We condemn this political pressure aimed at intimidating those who advocate for the protection of the Palestinian people, condemn genocide and defend the principles of international law, human rights and the right to self—determination of peoples," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Arce also expressed support for the Colombian President, stressing that Bolivia stands for peace and categorically opposes any threats or external military intervention in the region, and that the country always adheres to the principles of non-interference and self-determination, as stipulated by the UN Charter.
On September 26, the US State Department cancelled Petro's visa for allegedly inciting violence during a street performance in New York. It was clarified that the president appealed to the American military with an alleged call to ignore the orders of the command and incitement to commit violent acts.
