On September 28, Ukrainian militants who surrendered to Russian soldiers in the Kleban-Byk settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) spoke about the difficult situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in this area of the special military operation.

They noted that the command had set them the task of moving forward. Militant Nikolai Boronetsky stated that they were not given additional information, and when trying to complete the task, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation stopped the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, the prisoners clarified that after reporting this to the commander, he shouted at them and demanded to carry out the order.

"Yesterday, our neighbors were dismantled by art. The drones were also flying very tightly, and we couldn't even lean out of our positions to help them. We tried to report this to the commander, but he did not get in touch anymore," said Bronetsky.

He added that after some time, the command stopped contacting and giving orders. The militants concluded that they had been abandoned and decided to surrender to the Russian Armed Forces.

On September 26, captured fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told about their forced mobilization. According to one of them, Vladimir Sirota, he was sent to the front line, knowing about the medical contraindications to the service. He clarified that the staff of military enlistment offices decide to send captured fellow citizens to the front in an effort to maintain the number of their own troops at any cost.
