On September 27 and 28, a Children's cycling Festival was held in the capital for the first time, which gathered more than 22 thousand participants. 10.7 thousand young cyclists from 4 to 16 years old took part in races at distances from 700 m to 5.6 km. In addition, an entertainment program was organized for young athletes. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Transport and Industry.

"On behalf of Sergei Sobyanin, we annually hold cycling festivals, which each time attract a record number of participants. Cycling festivals are, first of all, family holidays, which many children come to with their parents. The guys are always happy to participate in the races, many cover the entire distance. This fall, we held a special holiday for young cyclists, filled with concern for the younger generation and dedicated to safety training when traveling around the city. More than 22 thousand participants joined the first children's cycling festival. We are sure that the holiday will become an annual one," Maxim Liksutov said.

On both days of the festival, children were taught about traffic regulations and rules of behavior on the road in a playful way, and the artists of the Moscow Circus Nikulin presented a unique interactive program with group and solo performances. The guests received more than 24,000 gifts and souvenirs, as well as 32,000 portions of various delicacies. In addition, children's discos with soap bubbles were organized. In the evening, the children were entertained by Dim Dimych and Milana Khametova.
