Finnish President denies claims of war between Europe and Russia
Europe is not in a state of conflict with Russia. This was announced by Finnish President Alexander Stubb in an interview with CNN.
"We are not at war with Russia," the Finnish president stressed.
He commented on the statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who, in a speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), noted that NATO and the European Union (EU) had declared war on Russia, using Ukraine at the same time.
Stubb clarified that Western countries should remain calm, build protection, and not overreact to various statements.
The day before, Lavrov said that Russia was concerned about the statements of Western leaders about a possible third world war. He noted that in the capitals of the EU and NATO countries, they are seriously beginning to talk about the Third World War as a likely scenario. The Foreign Minister also pointed to attempts to revive Nazism in Europe and militarize Western states under anti-Russian slogans.
