Netanyahu did not rule out amnesty for Hamas
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not ruled out the possibility of an amnesty for the Palestinian Hamas movement after working out all the details. He announced this on September 28 in an interview for the Fox News channel.
"I think the details of this have yet to be worked out. But in previous statements, I said, for example, if the Hamas leaders are withdrawn from the country, if they end the war, release all the hostages, we will let them leave," he said.
Netanyahu stressed that for this it is necessary to resolve all controversial issues.
Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that it would be possible to reach meaningful agreements to resolve the situation in the Middle East. At the same time, Trump did not disclose specific details of his plans.
On September 21, it became known that Canada, Great Britain, Australia, and France officially recognized the statehood of Palestine. In addition, Portugal also intends to do this. This step was part of a coordinated international effort to create a new impetus for a two-State solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which will include a cease-fire in Gaza and the release of hostages captured by Hamas.
