Orban pointed to the transformation of the EU into a military project
The European Union (EU) has become a military project aimed at opposing Russia. This was announced on September 28 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at a ceremony dedicated to the anniversary of the Maria Valeria Bridge between Hungary and Slovakia.
"The European Union has become a military project. In Brussels, they openly say that they consider Russia's defeat on the eastern front to be the task of the next decade," he said in a speech broadcast on his Facebook page (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
According to Orban, when Brussels talks about peace in Europe, it actually means war.
On July 22, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed to the frenzy of European countries towards Russia. According to him, together the states form part of the "international community." The diplomat stressed that Europe strongly suggests to its peoples that the Russian Federation is an eternal enemy and an existential threat.
