In the Leningrad region, a court arrested a third person involved in the sale of surrogate alcohol. This was announced on September 28 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

It is specified that Alexander Kulakov was sent into custody for 1 month and 29 days.

The day before, the court arrested two defendants in the case of poisoning with counterfeit alcohol.

Mass alcohol poisoning in the Oil Shale: the death toll is rising

As a result of intoxication, 12 people have already died.

On September 26, it became known about mass alcohol poisoning in the Slantsevsky district of the Leningrad region. In total, 19 people have become victims of the surrogate this month. 78-year-old Nikolai Boytsov and 60-year-old Olga Stepanova were detained on the fact of mass poisoning. Later, three more defendants were charged with manufacturing and marketing alcohol-containing products.
