Two Russian soldiers who spent two months under a burnt-out tank in the Zaporizhia region were able to survive thanks to their courage and hope. This was announced by the Honored military pilot Major General Vladimir Popov.

According to him, the fighters were on a neutral section of the contact line, which is being shelled from both sides. He noted that the fighters probably survived on the so-called "foot food" if supplies from drones were insufficient.

"The guys showed some restraint and courage. They were helped by hope, faith in salvation," Popov said in an interview with aif.ru .

The Major General also suggested that while under the tank, the soldiers could provide assistance to the Russian troops, for example, by transmitting information about the enemy or observing him.

According to military correspondent Vladimir Romanov, it is precisely such people who hold positions and ensure the advancement of the Russian army. In addition, the footage shows that the Russian fighters look rather exhausted after two months of "imprisonment".

On September 24, during the storming of one of the AFU positions in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), a Russian serviceman engaged in hand-to-hand combat with a Ukrainian militant and eliminated him. According to him, the enemy was hiding in the bushes when the Russian soldiers entered the trench.
