The organizers of the Giro del Emilia one-day cycling race have excluded the Israeli Premier Tech team. This was reported on September 28 by the Reuters news agency, citing the organizers.

"The Israel-Premier Tech team has been excluded from the upcoming Giro del Emilia race for reasons of public safety," the publication says.

According to the agency, such a decision was made after the disruption of another cycling race, the Vuelta a Espana, due to pro-Palestinian protesters, whose focus was the Israeli company Premier Tech.

It is noted that the Giro del Emilia one-day race, which will end on October 4 in Bologna, "raises concerns." The article also emphasizes that protests may begin after the end.

The day before, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) called on the International Football Federation (FIFA) and UEFA to ban Israel from participating in world tournaments. It is noted that the corresponding request was sent by the President of the Turkish Federation Ibrahim Hadjiosmanoglu.

Earlier, on September 25, it was reported that the United States is working to prevent the Israeli national team from being suspended from the 2026 FIFA World Cup due to the conflict in the Gaza Strip.

On September 21, it was reported that UEFA may decide to suspend Israeli clubs and the national team from participating in tournaments under its auspices. However, on September 24, UEFA decided not to suspend Israeli football clubs from participating in European competitions.
