Rock band Chaif celebrated its 40th anniversary with a festive concert
The Chaif group, popular among the people of Russia, celebrated its 40th anniversary with a concert in its native Yekaterinburg, where the band's history began. At the festive concert, he sang all his favorite hits. On September 28, the musicians talked about the band.
"The Chaif group appeared in the rock club and immediately caused great controversy among the bosses of the rock club. They said, what kind of yard music is this," said Alexander Pantykin, the leader of the Urfin Jus group.
The leader of the Chaif group, Vladimir Shakhrin, said that he never guessed which of the songs in the album would become a hit, but he was always ready to experiment. He also noted that the band played its first concert with two guitars and a xylophone. The band quickly developed their own style, and their songs were repeatedly played in the movies.
Currently, the musicians are working with the people, helping the soldiers of the special military operation to protect Donbass, performing in front of the wounded.
"When it first started, the first wounded arrived in Yekaterinburg, we assembled a campaign team, went there to the hospital, gave a concert, and walked through the wards," Shakhrin explained.
The members of Chaifa do not consider themselves stars, although their songs have been popular for a long time.
"They have the philosophy of these guys from our yard, who are their own people, who you can rely on, who won't set you up," said Egor Belkin, guitarist of the Sverdlovsk rock bands Urfin Jus, Nastya and Nautilus Pompilius, a member of the Sverdlovsk rock club.
On September 1, the grandiose rock festival "Gorbunova's House of Culture - Legend of Russian Rock" took place in Moscow for the third time. On the Gorbushka stage, songs were played not only by the most famous bands, but also by aspiring artists. The event lasted two days and was attended by thousands of people.
