According to the results of the first stage of the elections, Russia was not elected to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for the period 2025-2028. This was announced on September 28 by the press service of the Ministry of Transport.

"On September 27, the first stage of the elections to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for the period 2025-2028 took place in Montreal. The candidacy of the Russian Federation to the Council was not elected," the agency's website says.
