A Moldovan citizen who attended the parliamentary elections in Moscow on September 28 told Izvestia that voters from Russia are treated very badly as "scum of society."

According to her, many polling stations have been opened in the United States and European countries, while there are only two in Moscow. She also noted that there are very few ballots for Russian electors.

"We are treated very badly, as if we are the dregs of society. <...> We want to get the truth, we want [Moldovan President Maia] Sandu to leave, because we don't need her. She doesn't take care of us. The country is in debt," the woman said.

She also noted that she will vote for the former President of Moldova, the leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon.

Another man who came to the polls noted that he came earlier because of fears that the ballots would run out.

"Moldovan citizens who have been living in Russia for several years now feel and understand that for the current authorities (of Moldova. — Ed.) we are not the most important citizens, to put it mildly," the man shared his opinion.

In addition, citizens of the republic began to sing the song "Katyusha" near the Moldovan Embassy in Moscow.

Earlier in the day, parliamentary elections began in Moldova. Polling stations in the country opened at 07:00 a.m. (coincides with Moscow time) and will close at 21:00. In addition, 301 polling stations will operate outside the country to give citizens abroad the opportunity to vote. The total circulation of the ballots was 864.3 thousand copies.
