Currently, African and Asian countries are interested in supplying goods to the Russian market. This was announced on September 28 by the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov.

"The Russian market is very large, so many countries are interested in entering, of course, with the goods that are available. African countries <...> It is clear that our closest and most powerful neighbor is China," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Reshetnikov noted that we are also talking about the countries of Southeast Asia - Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam and others. According to him, these are large countries with their own industry and production facilities.

The head of the Ministry of Economic Development also noted that African countries can supply food, for example, coffee, nuts and fruits, but different goods require the organization of their own supply chains, especially for the transportation of fruits, where more complex logistics are needed.

Reshetnikov reported on September 6 that Russia's trade turnover with the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) amounted to more than $400 billion. The Minister also stressed that only reliable partners can ensure the sustainable development of the economy.
