The Federation Council talked about raising pensions for some categories of Russians

Some Russians will be able to apply for an increase in pension payments by the end of this year. This was announced on September 28 by Natalia Koshikhina, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy.

"Starting from October 1, 2025, pensions for military retirees and former employees of law enforcement agencies will increase. This is due to the indexation of salaries by 7.6%," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

In addition, she noted that from October 1, there will also be an increase in pensions for those who turn 80 in September. According to the senator, they will receive payments increased by more than 10 thousand rubles.

Koshikhina added that Russia consistently fulfills all obligations to ensure a decent standard of living for pensioners. In addition, she recalled that in April of this year, social pensions were indexed by 14.5%.
