Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has proposed sending 20,000 military peacekeepers to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, the Gaza Strip or any other place that the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) deems necessary. This was announced on September 27 by the Indonesian leader.

"We will continue to serve where the world needs defenders. Not just with words, but with boots on the ground," the newspaper "Vzglyad" quotes Subianto as saying.

As stated in the article, Indonesia emphasizes that the initiative is not directed against Russia. The country remains neutral and offers peacekeeping assistance to the UN Security Council. That is, in order to send military personnel to Indonesia, the consent of all centers of power — Russia, Europe, the United States and China - is required.

Barak Ravid, an international relations correspondent and a journalist for the Axios portal, reported on September 22 that Subianto was considering sending his country's peacekeeping forces to the Gaza Strip.
