The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has proposed to expand the list of diseases prohibiting service under the contract.

The list of diseases that will not allow Russians with limited fitness to serve to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has been proposed to be expanded — the department is considering increasing the number of these diagnoses prohibiting the execution of a contract from 26 to 35. This was confirmed on September 27 by data published on the website of the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

The draft law on the approval of the List of diseases in which a citizen (a foreign citizen, a stateless person), recognized as limited fit for military service, cannot be accepted for military service under a contract in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during mobilization, during martial law and during wartime. <...> [The anti—corruption expertise stage is underway," the text says.
