Lavrov besieged a Sky News journalist for asking him to speak English at the UN General Assembly

On September 27, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during a speech at the UN General Assembly (GA), besieged a journalist from the British Sky News channel for his request to answer a question he asked not in Russian, but in English.

"We are in the UN building, and Russian is the official language here, as well as English. And that's why I am very grateful to all of you for respecting our right and opportunities to use this language," he said.
