Lyubov, the daughter of Zemfira Pavlyukova, who died from poisoning by a surrogate in the city of Slantsy, Leningrad region, called her mother on the phone on the eve of her death. She told about it on September 27 in an interview with Izvestia.

"We talked on the phone almost before she died. <...> Everything was fine, she didn't complain. And it turned out that she just went to bed and didn't wake up," Lyubov said.

According to her daughter, the deceased had been buying alcohol from private individuals for several years, but it was not known where this alcohol came from. The daughter of the deceased suggested that they could independently produce alcoholic beverages.

Mass poisoning occurred on September 26 in the city of Slantsy, Leningrad region. It was reported that the death toll due to poisoning by surrogate alcohol increased to 19.

78-year-old Nikolai Boytsov and 60-year-old Olga Stepanova were detained during the investigation. During a search of Boytsov's apartment, empty glass bottles and plastic cans with a volume of up to 10 liters with a characteristic odor of alcohol-containing liquid were found.
