The Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) will be able to participate in the Paralympic Games with the Russian flag, anthem and other national attributes. This was announced on September 27 on the website of the General Assembly of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

"The IPC General Assembly has decided to fully restore the membership of the Russian Paralympic Committee in the International Paralympic Committee," the statement said.

It is specified that the voting took place on September 26 in Seoul in two stages. 91 delegates supported the full restoration of the status of the PKR, 77 opposed it. 111 delegates voted against the complete suspension of the committee, 55 delegates voted in favor of this decision.

According to the results of the vote, Russian Paralympians will be able to participate in competitions with the flag, anthem and national symbols again, including the Paralympic Games and other sports, including athletics, swimming, powerlifting, sledge hockey and bullet shooting.

However, the RCC also has work to do to lift restrictions for Russian athletes who participate in sports regulated by other international federations. This is necessary so that they can fully perform on the international stage.

Earlier, on September 19, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced the validity of the previous principles of participation of Russian athletes under a neutral flag in competitions. On the same day, Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev announced that the IOC's statement on maintaining the previous approach to admitting Russians was expected.
