Politico found out about Musk's ties to Jeffrey Epstein
American billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk appears in the documents of the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein, accused of trafficking minors and sexual exploitation. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on September 26.
"According, apparently, to a copy of Epstein's travel plan, Musk planned to visit his island on December 6, 2014," the material says.
In addition, another schedule mentions Epstein's scheduled meetings with a number of famous personalities, including lunch with billionaire Peter Thiel on November 27, 2017 and breakfast with political strategist Steve Bannon on February 16, 2019 — just a few months before Epstein was charged with sexual exploitation of minors.
The publication added that the documents are particularly noteworthy because all three influential people continued to maintain relations with Epstein after he confessed his guilt and registered as a sex offender.
On July 19, US President Donald Trump asked the Department of Justice to release all available testimony from the jury in the Epstein case. However, later, on July 23, the Florida court rejected this request, in connection with which Trump expressed his dissatisfaction on July 28. The American president was annoyed by the mistakes of the White House in this matter.
Later, on July 30, the United States learned that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Department of Justice had allegedly lost a minute from surveillance footage that was recorded on the night of Epstein's death in prison. It is clarified that the 11-hour recording, previously released this month, proves that on the night of August 10, 2019, no one came to the convict's cell — according to preliminary data, he committed suicide.
On the evening of September 3, a video was posted with the missing minute related to Epstein's death. The New York Post commented on the footage, noting that nothing happened during the missing minute recorded outside the prison block.
