On September 26, the US Supreme Court allowed the administration of American leader Donald Trump to freeze the $4 billion allocated for foreign aid.

"This decision allows the executive branch to stop allocating $4 billion from funds allocated by Congress for foreign aid, which will now never reach the recipients," CBS News quoted the text of the court's ruling.

It is specified that this decision is a temporary measure. In addition, Supreme Court Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Katanji Brown and Elena Kagan did not support the ruling.

Earlier, on September 10, it was reported that the Pentagon would significantly reduce the cost of maintaining the combat readiness of American troops in Europe. In 2026, funding for the Army Prepositioned Stocks-2 (APS-2) program, designed to provide armament depots, will be reduced by almost 15 times compared to 2023. This will be the fourth consecutive reduction in costs for this program.
