The Khoroshevsky court of Moscow arrested in absentia the defender of the LGBT community (the LGBT movement is recognized in the Russian Federation as extremist and banned) Alexandra Kazantseva (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent). The information is provided in official court documents on the website of the portal of the courts of general jurisdiction of the city of Moscow.
The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention. It is clarified that Kazantseva violated Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Evading duties provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents"), for which a penalty of up to two years in a penal colony is provided.
On August 5, the Khoroshevsky District Court of Moscow imposed an administrative fine on Kazantseva. It was reported that she violated Part 2 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the procedure for the activity of a foreign agent"), and therefore the court ordered her to pay a fine of 40 thousand rubles.
